Voices from the Earth
I’ve established this page to document progress with a film project, Voices from the Earth, that began with a five month journey in 2007. This journey is documented on the Journal page of this website.
Sporadic progress has been made in developing the film. Lack of funding has been a barrier. Two years ago I had a film editing suite built by a young computer genius and I’ve had a bit of professional editing work done. Sparked by a meeting with NZ film-maker, Gaylene Preston, in late 2010 I am now starting to do something with this myself.
My immediate goal is to create a series of clips to post onto my YouTube Channel.
This page will be updated with links to the clips as I develop and upload them.
My first serious effort focuses on Huay Hin Lard Nai village
The second clip continues the journey in the hill area near Chiang Rai in northern Thailand, with visits to Ban Pang Sa and Pakha Sukjai villages
The third clip begins in the vicinity of Chiang Rai and then leads to the Mekong river in Chiang Khong province.
The fourth clip is focused on a visit to Wat Pa Cum Con in Saraburi province, central Thailand. Here we learned about the work of Pra Parinya.
